Sesión IV - El cambio profesional desde mi perspectiva: Cómo gestionar lo que sí puedo controlar
Objetivos: Tras conocer el punto de vista del Headhunter en la última mesa redonda sobre la cuál es la mejor manera de gestionar el cambio profesional, es necesario que cambiemos la perspectiva y analicemos ahora el cambio desde nosotros mismos con el fin de ponernos "manos a la obra". ¿Qué aspectos sobre el curriculum, la entrevista, la negociación ó la salida están bajo mi control?, ¿Qué elementos son clave cuidar para dar la imagen que quiero proyectar? Silvia Esteban y Francisco Cerdá, tras una breve introducción sobre estos aspectos, promoverán un espacio abierto con el fin de desvelar qué errores no debemos nunca cometer y cuáles son los aciertos que nos permitirán garantizar el éxito en el nuestro deseado cambio profesional.

La última reunión del EPWN, en la que Maria Pilar Pérez, Celia de Anca y Alberto García Francos comentaron la ley de igualdad
UNA LEY BUENA PARA LAS PERSONAS Y PARA LAS EMPRESAS
El siglo XX será estudiado como la era en la que la mujer se incorpora al mercado laboral, en palabras de Alberto García Francos, Director General de Albenture. En su opinión la nueva ley de igualdad será buena no sólo para las personas sino también para las empresas.

Grandes directivas como Marieta del Rivero (consejera delegada de Nokia España) o Pilar González de Frutos (presidenta de Unespa) hablaron sobre la Ley de Igualdad en un desayuno informativo organizado por Fax Press. "Dalina, Mary Margaret and Marion, coordinators of IE’s Women in Business Club (WIB) requested Juan Diaz-Andreu, our IT and Entrepreneurship professor to give a conference about networking. He told me that when they asked him to do so, he could only think about Sonia Fernandez, the author of “Dos Grados: Networking, cultiva tu red virtual de contactos.” This is a great book that describes the best practices of the art and ability that every manager who wants to reach top positions should be an expert on.

Join us on May 29 at IBM (Santa Hortensia 26-28) for an interesting evening on work-life balance. Can we find a balance between work and personal lives? Can work-life balance be yet profitable to enterprises? What sort of initiatives can be implemented to achieve a positive balance?
Mª Pilar Pérez , Organizational Development Director at Procter & Gamble will share with us her experiences on work-life balance deployment policies at her company in Spain. We will also have Doctor Alberto F. García-Francos , Director at Albenture Consulting , who specialises in work life balance and will be clarifying the relevance of the new Equality Law .

Does this suprise you? This article of www.baquia.com show some statistics of women within the technology sector. One professor of IE, Jose Manuel Esteves Sousa, also did a study on this phenomenon. There are few women working in technology. At my last company the IT department consisted of 7 men and 1 women. Why is it?
I love to learn about new technology. But it is as if women are scared to adopt it or to get really involved with it in regards to an area of expertise or career path. Any thoughts?

Created at the end of 2002 by the Alumni Association of Instituto de Empresa, IE Women in Business emerged as an initiative of ex-alumni who are sensitive to the woman's position within the workplace. Integrating both men and women, the alumni and current students of Instituto de Empresa are conscious of the productivity improvement and contribution value brought on by women within the competitive frame of the workplace.
